Wheelchair Blue Edition curling
Wheelchair curling is similar to traditional curling in that it is played with the same rocks and on the same ice, but the rocks are thrown from a stationary wheelchair and there is no sweeping. Male and female athletes must be represented on each team, and a female athlete must be present on the ice at all times. The team consists of four players, with a qualified alternate entering the game at the start of an end to replace one of their teammates. Curling itself is similar to chess in that it requires the ability to think analytically during a game. Because of the features of wheelchair curling, athletes must calculate all their actions and those of their opponents even better!
