About toy
This figurine was created by Zilola Khamidova, an illustrator from Uzbekistan. In her work, you find Uzbek national patterns used in architecture and handicraft objects: the geometric pattern called girih consisting of angled lines that form an interlaced strapwork pattern, and islimi or "Arabesque" patterns which are based on floral, foliate, or biomorphic designs. By interweaving them, Khamidova sought to show how science and art are closely interconnected. She says working on the 3D figurine was her dream come true.
