Ukrainian Cossack By Archistory
This little Cossack is inspired by the legendary 17th century Ukrainian hero, Ivan Sirko, who was the Koshovyi Otaman of the Zaporozhian Host, a combat hero of the Ukrainian Cossacks. He was a possible co-author of the semi-legendary famous Cossack letter to the Ottoman sultan, which served as the inspiration for Ilya Repin's iconic painting "Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks" from the 19th century.
