Designer Toy Awards make triumphant return in 2024
The 2020 ceremony celebrated several notable winners. Punk Drunkers won Artist of the Year for their distinctive Japanese-Western fusion style. Their motto "Uncool is Cool" shines through their creations, attracting a global fanbase since 1998.
100% Soft won Toy of the Year with the Dumpster Fire figure. This LED-equipped piece turned a symbol of chaos into a comforting night light, appealing to collectors through clever design and function.
Best Licensed Toy went to Candie Bolton's collaboration with Kidrobot and Hello Kitty. Bolton reimagined the iconic character through the lens of growing up, making a 20-inch vinyl exploring the journey from childhood to adulthood.
The 2024 DTAs will showcase new perspectives on designer toys. The ceremony recognises excellence through industry expert voting and community involvement. Further coverage of the awards and winners will follow the event.
