Eyes on Hong Kong
Finally, the Amazing Toy Show in Hong Kong begins. We’ve already told you about the event here and here, but it never hurts to send out a reminder. Here’s why this event is important.
Hong Kong has historically been a very special place for the art toy scene, and every toy-related initiative in this area is bound to be noticed and thoroughly assessed. So, a new beginning can be stressful even for such powerhouses of the industry as Amaz by Lokianno. We can only send them our best wishes as they work toward their honorable goal—to help the industry establish links between artists, small ventures, and large production units. The lineup is impressive, especially for a first-ever show. Among the booth exhibitors, there are major players like How2Work and Unbox Industries. Still, unlike more renowned and established toy events, there is also space for newcomers, new talents, and indie masters. This mixture of big and small names promises new opportunities for participants and the toy industry in general. Let’s all just keep faith that this new event will bring us more creatives in the future—more toys, more designs.
Meanwhile, the last (but by no means least) piece of news for all our readers is that our R.toys team is also joining the Amazing Toy Show in Hong Kong! Moreover, meet us at booth B14, where we’re excited to exhibit our ChikoRoko project and showcase pieces from our brilliant collaboration with TokiDoki. These toys are straight-up legendary, so don’t miss the opportunity to buy them offline!
